Unterminated string in JSON

A JSON string starts with a double quote and ends at the next double quote that isn't escaped. When the closing quote is missing, the text runs on into whatever follows. A JSON string can't hold a raw line break, so in Chrome and Node.js JSON.parse usually stops at the end of that line with a message about a control character. It says "Unterminated string" only when the input ends first. A quote missing in the middle of a line is harder to spot, because the parser reads on to the next " and fails somewhere after it.

In Chrome and Node.js, JSON.parse says: Bad control character in string literal in JSON

Broken
{

  "name": "Ada Lovelace
}
Fixed

  "born": 1815,
  "name": "Ada Lovelace"
}

Fix it by hand

Add the missing " at the end of the text, before the comma or bracket that follows it.
